Introducing TREAT! An iso400 color C41 film based on Kodak vision 250D with the protective remjet layer removed.
TREAT is daylight balanced so works great in many conditions and produces stunning colors. It also has the same halo effects as our CINEMA film; when very bright highlights meet shadows.
Please note that we are developing this product over time and making improvements to the process. You might find some marks on the first frame and light leaks on the first two to three frames as seen in the sample photos.
#nuevosingle #instrumental El día que tomé esta analógica, llevaba de vuelta a Madrid dos discos duros repletos de grabaciones de los primeros 10 años de retrologico_estudio . Entre ellas, unas 20 canciones que en su momento se convirtieron en descartes de mis álbumes.
Solo me apetece rescatar ‘Prioridad’, una canción que está a medio camino entre mi época de obsesión instrumental y la de mi tercer disco.
Serán dos versiones, una grabada en plena pandemia con mi piano Wurlitzer de 1960 y otra que grabé con el ‘Steinway’ de mi querido gabri_casanova , durante las sesiones de ‘El Parque de la Victoria’.

2. Portada de ‘Prioridad’ | Analógica tomada en Oporto en agosto de 2021, con una cámara Lomográfica y jugando con la doble exposición y carrete caducado (editada con RNI Films).
3. Aversión en la feria | Viena, abril 2023
4. Tocando en Nueva York un Steinway que no podría pagar ni en 20 vidas. 11-5-2023
5. Tocando ‘Prioridad’ con mi Wurlitzer fuera de tono. 22-7-2023

Submitted a roll of film to the lab, stoked to get the results I choose quick turn around processing. The email dropped, I click the link and the download begins…. the anticipation…. load up the images… disaster! Big colour cast over the images, green in the shadows, a mess. Concerned it was something I’d done I checked the light meter on my camera against an external one, all good.
After consulting with friends the images bore the hall mark of bad processing. Rage ensues. 🤬
Cut to 2 weeks later, I`ve calmed down and taken a look at the roll and embraced the imperfections and the colour shifts. I now love them. Few edits in ON1 and I’m left with some very unique images with a color pallet I’ll never be able to recreate again. Brilliant. What a mad creative journey shooting film is. Embrace the mistakes and find the art and joy in those moments, who wants perfections anyway? Most photographers! 😂
