Minolta Maxxum 5000 35mm SLR with AF 50mm f/1.7 Lens

The Minolta Maxxum 5000 was part of Minolta’s groundbreaking Maxxum (Alpha) series — the world’s first fully integrated autofocus SLR system — bringing fast, reliable autofocus and program automation to everyday film photographers. Its straightforward control layout and dependable metering make it an easy camera to pick up and shoot with confidence.

Paired here with the Minolta AF 50mm f/1.7 lens, a much-loved standard prime known for its sharpness, fast aperture, and beautiful low-light performance, this combination is a fantastic all-purpose setup for portraits, street photography, and everyday shooting. The 50mm’s wide f/1.7 aperture also delivers pleasing background blur for subject-isolated shots.

A great choice for photographers exploring manual and autofocus film shooting, or anyone wanting a lightweight, capable 35mm SLR kit.

Every camera we sell at Photodom is tested in-house to confirm it’s fully functional before it ships — from our Brooklyn storefront to your door.
