Chino L.D. Meter — Light Meter with Laser Rangefinder (Silver / Black)

Rangefinder shooters know the tax. You’re reading the scene, estimating the distance, checking the light — all while the moment walks away. The Chino L.D. Meter was built to eliminate that mental math entirely.

This compact, shoe-mounted device combines a reflected light meter and a laser rangefinder into one unit barely larger than a thumb drive. Before you bring the camera to your eye, you already know your exposure and your focus distance. Point, read, shoot. That’s the whole game.

Choose Your Version

The Lite uses a 30° light receiving angle — a wide, averaged reading across a solid portion of your scene, similar to what most built-in camera meters do. It’s fast, intuitive, and consistent. Ideal for street photography, travel, documentary work, and anyone who wants reliable results without overthinking the process.

The Pro tightens that down to a 7° spot metering angle, capturing light from a narrow, precise slice of your frame. A face in open shade. A highlight you don’t want to blow. A shadow you’re trying to hold. This is how cinematographers and studio photographers meter — and now it lives on your hot shoe. If you’re shooting portraits, working in high-contrast scenes, or simply serious about nailing exposure every single time, the Pro is the move.

Both versions share the same 0.96″ OLED display, the same laser rangefinder measuring distance from 0.33 to 164 feet, and the same dead-simple button and dial interface. No app. No Bluetooth. No menus buried three levels deep. Just stops and meters. The 370mAh internal battery charges over USB-C and keeps up with a full day of shooting.
